Gionee Gpad G2 Review
There are bunch many things that would attract you in the Gionee G2, specially its battery backup. The built quality of the handset is quite decent although the back cover of the handset some times create rattling sound.
First impression, Look and Design
You love to hold the handset in your hand but not for long time, actually it bit heavy. The round edges of the device make the it comfortable to hold and slipper, glassy back cover is add on to the same. Look of the handset is stylish and premium. The handset it 10mm thick so its not really that easy to hold it in your palm.
Display and UI
The Gionee Gpad G2 has 5.3inch capacitive touch screen IPS display having 960×540 pixels resolution. The viewing angle are really great, the screen is almost visible from all the angles. The display is visible indoor and its not that great when you seen it in outdoor. The screen is not really that bright Outdoor, which would make you despondent. The G2 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS with Gionees customized UI, that makes it much more approachable for the user.
Camera
The 8MP autofocus rear camera is capable of recording 2720 HD videos and the front 2MP camera can also record 720p HD videos. It image quality from both the cameras is decent and video quality even more better than the image quality.
Performance and Gaming
The Gionee G2 Gpad gains the power from 1.2GHz quad core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. We have not noticed any major lag whatsoever from the handset. Although the performance on G2 is much better than Lava Iris 504Q. The handset comes with many pre installed Games like Asphalt 6 and many more. We played many high graphics games on the handset pretty smoothly, without any kind of LAG. The connectivity on the G2 is also very fast.
BATTERY BACKUP
If you want to buy a quad core smartphone with massive battery life then Gionee Gpad G2 is Ideal for the same. The G2 comes with a massive 3000 mAh battery. The battery life of the handset is really impressive and would not disappoint you even if you are habitual of using the handset constantly.
Benchmark Scores
- Quadrant Benchmark – 3989
- Nenmark2 – 49.4 fps
- AnTutu – 12829
Conclusion
Gionee Gpad G2 is a decent phablet with very nice specifications and features. It battery backup, gaming performance are its pros where as the heavy weight and unstable UI pulls it bit down.

- Pros : Battery, Display
- Cons : Heavy weight
