Gionee Dream D1 is Gionee’s first Quad core Android Smartphone . Gionee Dream D 1 is another stable & tough competitor for budget Quad core handsets . The dream d1 runs on Android v4.1 jelly bean Os . The main attraction in the Dream D-1 is its display . Gionee Dream D1 comes with 4.56inch Super Amoled HD display ( that was used in Samsung Galaxy 2 ) . The smartphone draws its strength from 1.2GHZ QUAD core CPU integrated with 1GB ram . The device looks much premium & expensive then actually it is . The Dream D1 is powered by 2100mAH battery   . There is 8MP camera at the rear of the device and 1MP at front . The MRP of the device in India is RS 17,999 .

Dream D1 Review

Look & Feel

Gionee Dream D1 has 4.65inch Super Amoled Display which makes the device much more premium . There is no touch sensitive buttons on the device as there is no need for them . At the left of the device there is power button . Although the design is very much similar to Gionee G1 Gpad  . At the rear there is 8MP autofocus camera with single LED flash  & loud speaker at rear-bottom . The back panel / cover of the device has very nice grip . The device is easy to hold in hand specially because of its soft edges & slimness . Overall the design , built quality and look of Gionee Dream D1 is Quite impressive .

Gionee Dream D1 has 4.65inch Super Amoled HD display ( about 720p resolution ) . The display is bright & sharp enough . The Super Amoled display delivers exactly what you expect . Some time the screen is not visible in direct sun light but in low light it is clearly visible . The viewing angles are very fine on screen . Colour rendering is also very nice on the display .

Connectivity

Gionee Dream D1 has Dual Sim Capability . Gionee Dream D1 has 3G , 2G , EDGE , GPRS , WIFI 802.11 a/b/g/n , Bluetooth v4.0 , micro usb & audio jack connectivity . Signal on the device are good .The Dream D1 has proximity , light , E- compass . Sensors that Gionee used in Dream D1 are very accurate . We will tell you about them in Full review .

CAMERA

The D1 has 8mp auto-focus camera at the rear & 1MP camera at the front . The camera quality is good . The device clicks images very fast . Touch to focus is good . Check out camera samples at the end of the post . The device can record 1080p videos at 28fps .

Performance

The Dream D1 is powered by 1.2GHZ Quadcore processor integrated with 1GB ram . We didn’t find any noticeable lag while testing the device . The device is lag free . Out of 1GB ram 570mb ram is free . Gionee did minor customizations to make the device more approachable . Although the device is snappy & robust . The app launcher Gionee used in D1 is heavy because of that the benchmark scores do not proceed more than ” 4012 ” (in our test ) . Gaming on the device is also fairly smooth and there in lag while playing high graphic games . Overall the device is fast . The video payback on the device is very smooth . Gionee Dream d1 can easily play  as well as can record 1080p videos .

Gionee DREAM D1 price (MRP) – 17,999 .

Gionee Dream D1 is a good option for those who wants a Quad core Smartphone at budget . The Dream D1 has Super Amoled display which offers better user viewing experience . No doubt , it is another static competitor for Micromax A116 canvas HD .
